Depression
Depression is a mood disorder that can affect a person's daily life .
It can be a feeling of sadness, loss or anger.
There can be two types of depression long term or short - term .
Long-term depression: You may lose interest in normal daily activities, feel hopeless, lack productivity, and have low self-esteem and an overall feeling of inadequacy.
Short-term depression: Short-term depression is like a Situational depression, stress-related type of depression. It can develop after you experience a traumatic event (like any loss, it can be in business, job, personal life) or series of events. Situational depression is a type of adjustment disorder. It can make it hard for you to adjust to your everyday life following a traumatic event.
There are so many causes, symptoms and treatments of these kind of depression
Person may suffer long-term depression if there is a family history or there is a chemical imbalance in his brain , physical illness, heart disease or diabetes, financial problem etc.
Some of the symptoms are listed below ๐
1 Continuous feeling of sadness and hopelessness.
2 sleep problems.
3 low energy.
4 poor self-esteem.
5 negative attitude.
6 decreased productivity.
7 avoidance of social activities.
8 lack of interest in daily activities.
If a person is having long-term depression he should consult a doctor . There are many solutions to this problem but best solution is a combination of medication and talk therapy ( just like love you zindagi movie)
Now come to the second type of depression Short-term depression . Causes of this depression are ๐
1 Problems at work or school .
2 Illness.
3 Death of loved one.
4 Moving.
5 Relationship problem .
Symptoms :
1 Sadness.
2 Hopelessness.
3 lack of enjoyment in normal activities.
4 Regular crying.
5 Constant worrying or feeling anxious or stressed out
6 Sleeping difficulties.
7 disinterest in food.
8 Trouble focusing.
9 Trouble carrying out daily activities.
10 Feeling overwhelmed.
11 Avoiding social situations and interaction.
12 Not taking care of important matters like paying your bills or going to work.
13 thoughts or attempts at suicide.
You should see a doctor if your symptoms are making it difficult for you to take care of your everyday responsibilities and activities. Treatment can help you better cope with stressful events.
You can do some home remedies to deal with depression
Regular exercise seems to encourage the brain to rewire itself in positive ways.
It may also have long-term benefits for people with depression.
There is no magic diet that fixes depression It's a good idea to watch what you eat, though.
There is evidence that foods with omega-3 fatty acids (such as salmon and tuna) and folic acid(such as Spanish and avocado) could help ease depression.
Depression can make it hard to get enough shut-eye, and too little sleep can make depression worse.
When you're depressed, you may feel like you can't accomplish anything. That makes you feel worse about yourself. To push back, set daily goals for yourself.
In your fight against depression, a lot of the work is mentally changing how you think. When you're depressed, you lead to the worst possible conclusions.
The next time you're feeling terrible about yourself,
use logic as a natural depression treatment. You might feel like no one likes you, but is there real evidence for that? You might feel like the most worthless person on the planet, but is that really likely? It takes practice, but in time you can beat back those negative thoughts before they get out of control.
